We are not helped by abbreviated debates on individual aspects of architecture, no, we are only helped by good, valuable and beautiful (or aesthetically successful) buildings that will be enjoyed by many generations to come and will be talked about in a positive sense. More architectural sustainability is not possible.

"So we need to think explicitly about the beauty of a building and how people react to it and whether they will appreciate it - that's the word that comes to mind here: do people appreciate the building, in the sense of a treasure that they want to protect?" ¹

Every house that is built is a public event.
Let's not take ourselves too seriously, but seriously enough!
