Project studies, design as a central component and a focus on building construction - our Bachelor's degree programme in Architecture is a scientific and creative degree programme and requires an interest in design and technical disciplines.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT STUDYING ARCHITECTURE AT RPTU KAISERSLAUTERN-LANDAU

At RPTU's Architecture department in Kaiserslautern, it is still possible to study for a Diplom or Bachelor's degree. Both degree programmes start in the winter semester.

Your studies begin with a preparatory course, a one-week preliminary course that makes it easier for you to start your studies. The basics of craftsmanship, drawing, technology and organization are laid here and you get to know fatuk.

You start the lecture period with the All School Charrette (ASC). Together with Master's and diploma students, you will work on an architectural assignment for a week. Professors will give short lectures and research assistants will supervise you all day. The best students present at the end.
After a week, you will have already met all the fatuk lecturers in person.

Now your studies can begin! You will be divided into studio classes within the architecture projects. You will go through them year by year and receive interdisciplinary supervision. We recommend that you use the fifth semester to study abroad. You will return for your Bachelor's thesis in the 6th semester.
While every winter semester starts with the ASC, the entire fatuk swings out in the summer semester and discovers the international architecture scene on one-week excursions.
