The book, published in the DETAIL-Verlag atlas series, is a comprehensive reference work on multi-storey timber construction. The publication has been completely revised by the authors Hermann Kaufmann, Stefan Krötsch and Stefan Winter and documents the rapid development of multi-storey timber buildings in recent times. Contemporary timber construction is increasingly moving away from traditional categorizations such as timber frame construction, solid timber construction or skeleton construction and is using a mixture of different construction methods and materials in line with requirements. This opens up completely new possibilities for timber architecture.
